Virginia Sellers is the Virginia State Career Coach, HR Specialist, Personal Growth Counselor, and Workforce Development Coordinator. Virginia also happens to be one of the fortunate recipients of HUD and social service assistance at a time when she was unable to generate enough income to find affordable housing for her and her two children.
She was grateful for the rental assistance and skill-building opportunities she received and for the case managers who assisted her within this organization that served to help her and her children in their time of need. However, after reading several personal development books by influencers such as Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Lisa Nichols and many others, she was stirred by a desire to pursue her dreams and pursue financial independence for herself and her family.
Virginia went on to be the founder and executive director of Virginia Employment Solutions, a company that works with HUD-assisted parents and underemployed job seekers striving for self-sufficiency. The team at Virginia Employment Solutions believe that anyone seeking employment should be gainfully employed, financially secure and personally developed. That's all three without sacrificing one for the other.
Virginia utilizes the education she acquired at Grand Canyon University. She is a graduate with a Human Services and Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Counseling degree. In addition, she has been certified by the Institute of Positive Psychology, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and Gallup Incorporated.
Moreover, she optimizes her 25-plus years of experience in the interpretation and application of human resource programs and services to serve her clients. In addition, she effectively maximizes her employable skills at the Department of the Navy, Civilian Personnel Office, George Mason University, Department of Human Resources, Fairfax County Public Schools, and Department of Talent Acquisition and Management.
Virginia is committed to the success of her clients, and her vast recruitment, training, and employee relations experience qualifies her to professionally develop HUD-assisted parents and underemployed job seekers pursuing employment opportunities that highlight their skill sets, value their accomplishments, and compensate them for their contributions.
